Law enforcement officials arrested three individuals for illegal activity on Friday morning in Hamden.
Hamden police responded to a call at 4 a.m. on Mix Avenue in Hamden from a concerned citizen who reported to have heard power tools from a parking lot.
Police then found the three suspects and detained them. Investigation led to a search of their motor vehicle, to which the officers found a vast array of power tools and four catalytic converters that were recently removed from nearby parked vehicles.
Darnell Bullitt, 39 of Cleveland, Ohio, was charged with larceny, criminal trespass, possession of burglar tools and criminal mischief. He was detained on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
The other two suspects, Robert Callahan, 34 of Euclid, Ohio, and Lamar Pierre, 31 of Cleveland, Ohio, were charged the same crimes as Bullitt and held to a $25,000 bond each.
Pierre was also wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant out of Ohio, and also charge with Fugitive from Justice.
