Hamden police hand out more than 600 distracted driving tickets in 2 weeks

Hamden police proved we have a long way to go.

During the first two weeks of August, Hamden police handed out 635 tickets for distracted driving.

This was part of the state’s Distracted Driving High-Visibility Enforcement campaign.

Officers were stationed at various locations on Whitney and Dixwell Avenue.

Police are reminding people to pull over and park before using their cell phones.
