Liquor license suspended at Hamden bar where more than 100 were cited for underage drinking

A liquor license has been suspended at a popular bar in Hamden.

According to officials, within the past year, Hamden police have conducted two liquor compliance checks at Clubhouse Cafe.

Authorities said on April 20, 2018, approximately 100 people who were under 21 years of age were on the premises. Police added that they seized 42 fake IDs during the check.

On Jan. 25, 2019, police again conducted at check at the bar. On that night, officers issued 131 infractions for simple trespass to patrons under 21-years-old.

The Liquor Control Commission has suspended the bar’s liquor license indefinitely.
