A man is facing charges after he allegedly impersonated someone else and attempted to scan/skim credit cards.
According to officials, on Tuesday around 1:45 p.m., North Haven police responded to a local fitness center after learning of a suspect believed to be involved in numerous thefts around the state.
Police said they located 55-year-old Steven Finkler in a bathroom stall.
Authorities said he was using a membership card under a false name and had other items used to scan/skim credit cards.
He was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation, criminal attempt to commit illegal use of credit card and other related charges.
Finkler was released after posting a $20,000 bond.
