Mayor of Derby tests positive for COVID-19

DERBY, Conn. (WTNH) — The mayor of Derby has tested positive for COVID-19.

Mayor Rich Dziekan posted on Facebook that he is currently in isolation and that he has some cold-like symptoms, but is otherwise feeling okay.

Derby City Hall will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday to allow for deep cleaning and contact tracing.

City Hall staff will be available by telephone and email only those days.
