The health lab is up and running.
There’s been a steady stream of people coming to get free health screenings since it arrived in Waterbury at 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
This is available to anyone, regardless if you have insurance or not.
Health care workers will be screening for what’s called the “core four.”
“If any of these are left unchecked, it could lead to serious issues like heart disease or diabetes,” said Mark Slitt of Cigna.
Thursday’s stop in Waterbury will be the only stop the health lab is making in Connecticut.
It’s parked at the Waterbury Police Athletic League headquarters, which is located at 64 Division Street.
Those free screenings will go until 3:00 p.m.
You do not have to have health insurance nor do you have to live in Waterbury to utilize the mobile lab.
