Naugatuck police arrest 3 for setting fire to playground

Police in Naugatuck arrested 3 men on arson charges after they allegedly set fire to a local playground.

Officers responded to Linden Park on North Main Street in the borough, and discovered playground equipment on fire. Two portable restrooms were also found knocked over.

The suspects were later found walking in the area. They were arrested and face charges ranging from criminal mischief to reckless burning.

Police have identified the suspects as 19-year-old Julius Castro, 21-year-old Benjamin Day, and 21-year-old Colin LeClerc.
