New Haven LEAP program continues helping at-risk kids with schooling during pandemic

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Throughout this pandemic, some key community groups have come forward to help at-risk children and their families.

One is LEAP in New Haven, which stands for Leadership, Education, Athletics, and Partnership. They serve areas with child poverty rates from 35% to 58%.

LEAP’s Executive Director Henry Fernandez joins News 8 to discuss this topic further.
