NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A New Haven man is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound after a shooting on Hurlburt Street early Wednesday morning.
Just after 5:10 a.m., police responded the second floor residence at 109 Hurlburt Street on a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found 30-year-old Kean Jenkins, of New Haven, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Jenkins was taken by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
New Haven police are still conducting their investigation. They stated in a news release, “The victim was, perhaps, first confronted by his assailant(s) outside. He ended up inside, where he was shot.”
