New Haven PD investigates shooting on Norton Street

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in New Haven are investigating after receiving a shot spotter alert on Norton Street Wednesday night.

When responding officers arrived at the scene at 9:30 p.m., they located a 24-year-old man from Hamden suffering from a gunshot wound.

American Medical Response transported the victim to Yale-New Haven Hospital to treat non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.

Evidence was collected from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
