NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a shooting injured two people on Townsend Street in New Haven Thursday evening.
Police said at around 4:45 p.m., New Haven police and fire responded to multiple 911 calls reporting that two people were shot in the Dixwell neighborhood. It happened on Townsend Street between Henry and Charles streets.
Police said a 32-year-old man was shot in both thighs, and a 31-year-old woman was shot in the chest and arm.
Emergency medical responders treated both victims on the front porch of a home. They were transported to the hospital, where both victims were treated for their non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers held a crime scene Thursday evening that included the street and a parked vehicle.
