NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police are investigating an incident in the city Monday morning.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter notification of five rounds fired on Henry Street just after 2 a.m. At the scene, officers found five fired cartridge casings in the middle of the road at the intersection of Henry and Townsend Streets.
A small blood trail from the sidewalk of Henry Street to Dixwell Avenue was located by police.
Later in the morning, a gunshot victim arrived at Yale-New Haven Hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
This is an active investigation.
