New Haven Police investigate after person shot on George Street

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven Police are investigating after finding a resident suffering from gunshot wounds on George Street Friday afternoon.

Police said just before 4 p.m., officers received a Shotspotter activation and several 911 calls regarding a person shot on George Street between Norton Street and Derby Avenue.

Responding officers found a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call New Haven police.
