Hamden man shot on Blake Street in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a Hamden man was shot in New Haven Monday.

Officers responded to the report of gunfire on Blake Street, between Whittlesey and Osborn avenues, around 4:45 p.m.

Police found a 21-year-old Hamden man on the ground who had been struck by gunfire. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers found a crime scene and ballistic evidence. The Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
