New Haven police searching for Webster Bank robbery suspect

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in New Haven are searching for the suspect in a bank robbery.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. at the Webster Bank on Whalley Avenue in Westville. Police say a man went up to the counter, showed a gun, and took cash. He was last seen walking towards Blake Street.

Witnesses told police the robber was a dark complexioned male wearing a dark short sleeve shirt and a fitted baseball cap.

The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
