New Haven’s community agency to stay open

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A New Haven nonprofit that helps thousands of people pay for heat and electricity is staying open.

According to the New Haven Register (http://bit.ly/2EENlPw), the Community Action Agency received $45,000 in expedited payments from the city of New Haven, in order to open again.Related content: New Haven community agency shut down after money seized

The agency closed last Friday because it couldn’t make payroll after a bank took $200,000 to cover debt owed to a separate nonprofit agency.
