Officials Respond to Car Fire at New Haven Gas Station

New Haven

New Haven Police responded to a car fire at a gas station Tuesday night.

The fire happened at Forbes Premium Fuel at 401 Forbes Street.

According to a News 8 crew on the scene, the fire was quickly extinguished. The vehicle was not located near the gas pumps.

Witnesses say people were actually still pumping gas when the incident was taking place. 

Employees at the store didn’t know who the car belonged to, but say the vehicle was an Audi Q-4. 

Police and fire were on the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. 

There is no word yet on the cause of this fire.
