One lane of Route 77 in Guilford reopens after vehicle strikes pole

Part of Route 77 will be opened to one lane in Guilford until Wednesday after a vehicle struck a utility pole.

According to officials, the route was closed between Prospect Hill Road and Stepstone Hill Road, but has reopened one lane and will remain this way throughout the day Wednesday.

Police first shared details on the crash around 5:00 p.m.

Authorities said the pole was taken down after being hit by a vehicle.

Officers said no injuries were reported.

Drivers should use Long Hill Road or Little Meadow Road to avoid the area.
