PD: Shoplifter stole from East Haven Stop & Shop while police were in parking lot


Police in East Haven are looking for a woman who allegedly stole from a Stop & Shop while officers were in the parking lot.

According to officials, the theft happened on Saturday.

Police said officers were at the scene accepting donations for the department’s Stuff-A-Cruiser event.

The suspect allegedly fled the parking lot in a dark gray Honda Accord.

There has been no word on the value of the items taken from the store.
