NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Whalley Avenue in New Haven Friday night.
Police said 27-year-old Shanice Reyes was hit just after 6 p.m. on Whalley Avenue between Dayton and Emerson streets. She was taken to a hospital, where police said she died from her injuries.
The driver involved in the crash remained on scene, police said. As of Monday morning, no charges have been filed.
The New Haven Police Accident Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation.
