Pedestrian struck by car in Wolcott

Wolcott Police Department is reporting that a pedestrian has been struck by a car on Meriden Road.

Officials tell News 8 at around 6:00pm Tuesday, a female between 30 and 40 years of age was struck by a car as the vehicle was heading west on Meriden Road.

The victim does have serious injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, according to police. Her condition is unknown at this time.

Wolcott’s regional accident reconstruction team is investigating. 

Police say the driver did remain on the scene.
