Police identify man who was shot in the head overnight in New Haven, succumbs to injuries

New Haven police told News 8 that a 29-year-old man shot in the head late Saturday night has died.

Officials investigated after a shooting left one victim with a gunshot wound to the head at 11:40 Saturday night; he died on Sunday afternoon. The shooting took place at 130 Button Street in New Haven.

The victim is Mark Allen Moore of New Haven.

There is no word yet on a description of a suspect. 

There were several shell casings on the ground and the scene. Moore’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.
