New Haven PD: Victim suffers from gunshot wounds after shooting on Davenport Ave

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after receiving a shot spotter alert to gunfire on Davenport Avenue Thursday night.

When responding officers arrived on the scene around 6:20 p.m., they located a 22-year-old New Haven man who was suffering from gunshot wounds.

American Medical Response transported the victim to Yale New Haven Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.

The New Have Police Major Crimes Unit and Bureau of Identification responded to the scene.
