Police investigate after person shot in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a person was shot Thursday night in New Haven.

According to police, around 9:30 p.m. a gunshot victim arrived by private vehicle to Yale New Haven Hospital. the man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim’s car vehicle was also struck by gunfire.

Investigators believe the shooting may be related to an earlier report of gunfire in the same area of Wilmot Road in the West Rock neighborhood.
