Police: Man shot on Chatham Street in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a New Haven man was shot early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to Chatham Street, between Rowe and Ferry streets, just before 4 a.m. Police found a 55-year-old man who had been shot. Police said the victim is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition.

Rowe Street was closed between Chatham and Grafton streets but has since reopened.
