CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Suspects wanted in East Haven bank robbery where gun was discharged

EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are searching for the suspects in an East Haven bank robbery after a masked man’s gun discharged on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say that at around 2:51 p.m., officers responded to the Citizen’s Bank, at 430 Foxon Road, for a bank robbery.

Upon arrival, police learned that a man wearing a mask had entered the bank wielding a black revolver. He is then seen on surveillance video hopping the counter.

In the process of hopping the counter, or soon after, police say that the suspect’s weapon was discharged. The discharged round did not hit anyone inside of the bank and no injuries were reported during the robbery.

The suspect then fled on the back of a motorcycle. Another man had been waiting outside of the bank on a white/blue/black street bike type motorcycle, with no plate and described in poor condition.

They were last seen heading westbound on Foxon Road towards New Haven.

Police released surveillance photos from the robbery. The suspect was seen wearing a mask, gloves, a black or dark blue hoodie, black pants or jeans, and basketball sneakers.
