Elm Street reopens after woman struck, killed by car in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP/WTNH) - West Haven police say Elm Street has reopened following a fatal car crash late Friday night. 

Police say a woman was struck and killed by a car overnight in West Haven.

Police say the woman suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car traveling down Elm Street late Friday night. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities did not immediately release the name of the woman or the driver of the car. They say the incident is under investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information should contact authorities.
