Prospect police provide information on what to do if you see a bear

Prospect police are providing information to residents on what they should do if they spot a bear in the town.

Authorities said they have received several questions regarding police and bears in Prospect.

Officials said you can call the police and they will respond to ensure that the bear is not causing any safety issues.

The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection also has an online form where people can report black bear sightings.
