Report: Fee for West Haven beach parking passes discussed

New Haven

With tax increases on the table in West Haven, the city is considering a fee for beach parking passes.

According to the New Haven Register (http://bit.ly/2w5J15P), the idea was thrown out by Mayor Nancy Rossi at a meeting Tuesday.

There was talk about charging $20 for a two-year beach sticker. To raise a total of $440,000.

Rossi said it’s been brought up in the past, and has not been popular.
