Route 8 south in Naugatuck reopens after dump truck crash

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — Route 8 south in Naugatuck reopened after a dump truck crash Monday morning.

Connecticut Department of Transportation reported the crash occurred between Exits 27 and 26 around 9:13 a.m.

The crash was between a dump truck and a passenger car.

Injuries are unknown at this time.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
