Waterbury will not hold in-person Memorial Day celebrations due to coronavirus concerns

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Another major local event canceled due to coronavirus concerns. Mayor Neil O’Leary announced Sunday they will not hold any in-person Memorial Day Weekend celebrations this year.

The city and the Waterbury Veterans Memorial Committee made the difficult decision in order to continue to support the health and safety of their residents.
