Waterbury woman dies after being struck by vehicle in Wolcott

A Waterbury woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal collision in Wolcott on Tuesday evening.

According to officials, around 6:00 p.m. 40-year-old Julie Ricci was attempting to cross Meriden Road to return to her apartment when she was struck by a 2005 Honda Odyssey.

She was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital after the crash and has passed away due to her injuries from the accident.

Police said they are not releasing the driver’s name at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
