Watertown Police Investigate Suspicious Man Approaching Young Girls

New Haven

Watertown Police are investigating two incidents where a man allegedly approached young girls.

On Thursday, two girls were walking home on Falls Avenue when they were approached by a middle-aged man in a white van. The girls say when the van approached them, they hid in the bushes and call a family member for a ride home.

While they were waiting for the family member to arrive, they say the van continued to make multiple laps around the area.

On Friday, two different girls reported to police that they were approached by a man with a van matching the same description. The girls allegedly were walking towards Riverside Avenue after a high school football game when a man yelled at them and drove off.

Officials say there is a limited description of the suspect. They are looking for a middle-aged man with gray hair. The vehicle is described as a white van with dark tinted windows and bars over the back windows.

If you have any information that can assist in this investigation, you are urged to contact Watertown Police.
