WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – West Haven police dog Cody will be receiving a protective vest thanks to charitable donations from the community.
According to officials, canine Cody will be receiving a bullet and stab protective vest courtesy of non-profit, Vested Interest in K9’s. Cody’s vest is sponsored by an anonymous donor and will be embroidered with the sentiment “donated for my safety as i protect and serve.”
West Haven officials say that the purchase is thanks to donations by the community.
Vested Interest in K9s is charity located in East Taunton, Massachusetts who mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the country. The charity says that they have provided over 1,900 vests in 49 states, through private and corporate donations.
