West Haven Police Department increases presence at schools

New Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – West Haven police is trying to make children feel a little safer at school on Wednesday by adding extra officers in the hallways.

The city of West Haven does want parents to know there has not been any threats made to any schools.

They want to alleviate some fears they may have on the four year anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

Police also want to remind parents and children to be thankful for one another today.
