Yale University receives record number of applicants for class of 2023

New Haven

Yale University’s reputation as one of the nation’s most competitive schools isn’t going away anytime soon.

Yale received a record number of applicants for admission for the class of 2023.

More than 36,800 students applied and only 2,178 were admitted, making the acceptance rate only 5.9 percent.

That is a record low.

Accepted students come from all 50 states, including D.C., Puerto Rico, and 63 countries.
