Yale University rescinds admission of student after college admissions scandal

Yale University has rescinded the admission of one student as a result of the college admission scandal, a spokesperson said Monday. 

Thomas Conroy, Yale University spokesman, says that the admission of one student has been rescinded after the college admission scandal broke earlier this month.

That student has not been identified at this time and it’s unclear how they were involved in the scandal. 

Fifty people, including actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, were charged in a scheme in which wealthy parents allegedly bribed college coaches and other insiders to get their children into some of the nation’s most elite schools.

Athletic coaches who worked at such schools as Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, Wake Forest, the University of Texas, the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles, were also charged.
