2 rescued after falling from cliff at Gillette Castle State Park

New London

Fire and EMS crews responded to Gillette Castle State Park on Wednesday afternoon to rescue two people who fell from a cliff.

According to officials, the duo fell between 20 and 30 feet from a cliff near the Connecticut River.

The victims were brought to awaiting ambulances and one of the victims was transported.

There has been no word on the severity of any injuries.

Enviornmental officials say some trails might not be in great condition right now.
