Annual Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival to kick off Thursday

New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — The annual Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival is set to take place on Thursday in New London.

The celebrations are expected to begin at 2:30 p.m. with an opening ceremony and will continue through the weekend.

More than 60,000 people are expected to be there. There will be food, music and even the chance to board the U.S. Coast Guard’s Barque Eagle.
