Arrest made after man stabbed 11 times in Norwich apartment

A man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed another man and a teen in Norwich late Monday night.

According to officials, around 11:15 p.m., units responded to a report of a stabbing in Mohegan Commons Apartments at 90 North Street.

Police said an investigation revealed that a man was stabbed 11 times within an apartment, and that a 13-year-old was also stabbed.

36-year-old Dustin Houtman was arrested at the scene and faces several charges, including two counts of assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was held on a $250,000 bond.

The victims were treated at a local hospital where the adult victim was listed in critical condition and the teen was treated for minor injuries.
