Arrest made in shooting at New London convenience store

An arrest has been made for a shooting incident at a New London convenience store back in March, according to police.

Officials say on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m., officers arrested 23-year-old Taj Johnson during a court appearance for other criminal charges.

According to police, Johnson was involved in an incident on March 12 at the Ravi Petro Mart on Broad Street where one man was shot.

Johnson faces charges of criminal attempt at murder, assault in the first degree and other related charges.

He remains in custody on a $1,000,000 bond.

Officials say the victim is continuing to recover.
