NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — The U.S. Coast Guard Barque Eagle returned home to New London on Tuesday after a 16,000-nautical mile journey.

The vessel, known as “America’s tall ship,” completed its annual training mission.

The 87-year-old ship is the only active square-rigged vessel in U.S. government service.
