Car runs into 2 houses in New London, driver arrested on DUI charge

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — New London Police have arrested a man who they say struck two houses, a fence and a utility police with his car on Chappell Street and Griswold Court area. According to investigators, 48-year-old Herbert Brown had gotten into an argument with someone before getting into his car. Brown is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, operating under suspension, evading responsibility, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to drive right, and disorderly conduct. The damage to the homes involved was minor. Brown suffered a cut up in the crash. No one else was hurt.
