Child in stroller injured after being struck by vehicle in New London parking lot

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — A child in New London suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on Friday.

According to New London police, around 12:30 p.m., a child was struck by a Jeep in the lot located at 256 South Frontage Road. The parking lot serves multiple businesses in the area.

Officials say the child was transported to Lawrence+Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police say an investigation into this incident remains open at this time.
