If you’re looking for a job and live in the eastern side of the state, a career fair is being offered in Montville next week. 

The Connecticut Department of Labor says a series of ‘Micro Career Fairs’ have been offered on Wednesday at the Monvtille American Job Center. They say the next event is on September 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 601 Norwich-New London Trunpike, Suite 1 in Uncasville.

“Our Montville Micro Career Fairs, also known as ‘Employer Wednesdays,’ have successfully been connecting jobseekers to new employment or different careers this summer,” said Labor Commissioner Kurt Westby. “Our goal has been to provide jobseekers with opportunities to meet one-on-one with local businesses and help local employers fill their positions.”

The event on September 5th will feature the following four local employers: Change Inc., Frontier Communications Corporation, TVCCA, and Wright Transportation. 

Officials say those who are planning to attend should being copies of their resume, any certifications and ‘dress for success’. They also say that prior to attending the fair that jobseekers are required to register here.
