LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are searching for the man who allegedly fatally shot a man in the head in Ledyard Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the area of 4 Robin Lane just before 2:30 p.m. for a report of a person shot. They located a man in the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
The victim, identified by police as 27-year-old Malik S. Nunn, was taken to Backus Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died Tuesday night, police said.
Police said they have an active arrest warrant charging Steward Holeman, 34, with murder. Investigators said Holeman should be considered armed and dangerous.
Holeman was last on Williams Street in New London Tuesday afternoon, according to police, and has lived in Hartford and New Britain.
Police described Holeman as a light-skinned Black man with brown eyes and black hair. He is 5’11” and weighs 165 lbs. He has prominent tattoos, including two teardrops near his right eye and tattoos on both sides of the neck.
