New London police make drug bust at Broad Street gas station

Police in New London made two arrests Thursday afternoon during a narcotics operation.

While assigned to a “Quality of Life” patrol initiate to combat drug activity in the city, officers responded to the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station on Broad Street.

Police arrested 52-year-old George McGee and 47-year-old Karen Brown. Officials also seized 25 bags of heroin during the arrests.

McGee and Brown are facing narcotic charges. They are both residents of New London. 

The New London Police Department is asking the public to report any drug activity to the city’s narcotics hotline at (860) 447-9107.
