New London Police respond to Shooting of Juvenile

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) – On Sunday at approximately 5:50 p.m. the New London Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting possible shooting in the area of a Prest Street and Connecticut Avenue.

Upon arrival police officers located a juvenile male who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. The victim’s injury did not appear to be life threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing.
