Four people are without a home Tuesday night after a fire.

Firefighters in Norwalk responded to a house fire on 19 Arbor Drive. Emergency crews were dispatched to the home just after 7:00.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming out of the first floor of the home and in the attic.

Officials say only one person was home at the time and managed to escape without any injuries.

The home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage. Firefighters have deemed the home unfit for occupancy.

The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
