PD: Teen arrested in New London after threatening others with BB gun

A teen is facing charges after allegedly threatening others in New London with a BB gun on Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials, around 3:10 p.m., police responded a report of an armed robbery in the area of 35 Governor Winthrop Boulevard.

At the scene, officers learned that the suspect displayed a gun and threatened the victims.

Police later located the suspect, a 15-year-old boy, and found the firearm, which was identified as a BB gun.

The teen was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and threatening, among other charges.
